
An extraordinary surprise for Schoenstatt seminarians

This February 2nd we give thanks to God for all consecrated individuals. On this date we also remember the founding of the Secular Institute of Our Lady of Schoenstatt in 1946. Mrs. Carminho Sarmento, who recently sealed her perpetual consecration in the Community, shares her testimony with us.

Nine young women left their home and homeland to become part of a new home. They come from six different countries, and this Saturday they will receive the dress of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary. Their wish is expressed in this phrase: “Mary, make us likenesses of your image”. It is possible to participate live in the ceremony through the Youtube channel.

90 years ago, the first group of Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary arrived in Africa. The seven pioneers brought our spirituality to the continent, opening the doors to the graces of the Mother and Queen on African soil.

Dr. Sr. M. Elena Lugo, a member of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, has passed away. Internationally recognized, she is a great reference for the Church and society, leaving many contributions in the field of bioethics and in apostolic life.

Under the motto “Abide in my love” (Jn. 15:9), Father Lucas Chiappe received his ordination from the Bishop of Quilmes, Mons. Carlos Tissera, who encouraged him to “unceasingly communicate God in the Word, the Eucharist and in his presence.

In a video message, Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello talks about the main themes and how the meeting of the International Schoenstatt Presidency went. The superiors and leaders met from November 6 to 10 in Rome, at the Belmonte Center.

Father Sleevaraj Chinthamala, belonging to the Schoenstatt Fathers Community, was ordained. He is the first Schoenstatt Fathers of Telangana origin. His ordination represents an important step in bringing Schoenstatt spirituality to this new region in India.
