
Noviciate of the Schoenstatt Fathers: Reception of Sion Tunic

In Burundi, 11 young men received the Zion tunic and entered the novitiate of the Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers. It was a moment of great emotion and joy for everyone.

This past Saturday, October 14, we witnessed a great blessing for the Ecuadorian Schoenstatt Family. Luis Polit Estrella, Ecuadorian, member of the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, has been ordained as a priest of Christ in the Cathedral of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary are establishing themselves once again next to the Unity Shrine in Cambrai, France. Sister M. Resia Käppeler and Sister Mirjam Metzler have been there since October 4, 2023.

“O God, holy are your ways”. Priestly ordination of Deacon Joaquín Puertas Casasempere (Chilean) and the diaconal ordination of the students Maike Nonicio de Andrade (Brazilian) and Agustín Ozcoidi (Argentinean), all belonging to the Course Cor Sacerdotalis, peregrini foederis ecllesiae, from the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers.

Bishop Ramón Alfredo de La Cruz Baldera, from the Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests, is one of those summoned to the General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which begins this October 4th. During an interview he tells us about his expectations for this great moment in the history of the Church.

Bishop Dr Michael Gerber is a member of the Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests. From 2005 to 2013 he was a member of the General Council of the international priests’ community.

Eleven years ago, Sister M. Emilie’s life was recognized as a life of “heroic virtue”. She was formed by Schoenstatt’s spirituality and grew up as an example of a lived covenant of love.
