Pope Benedict has passed away. We as Church mourn him. He was a very special and close friend to Schoenstatt. He appreciated our charism and mission for the Church, accompanying us in a fatherly way and feeling very much loved and supported by us. Here is a brief review of that fraternal relationship between Pope Benedict and Schoenstatt.

“These have been the best two days of my life! This is beautiful,” said one girl about her experiences after two days of sharing with other children and their leaders in the Original Schoenstatt. This was a group of children from parishes in the suburbs of Cologne, preparing for their first confession and communion. Experiences that deepen their faith with communal and spiritual encounters.
For several years now, the San Rafael Parish of Villa Devoto has been celebrating Mass in a street corner of the neighborhood for the Novena of its Patron Saint. As an initiative of the Schoenstatt Fathers, the Pentecost Foundation was created, to ensure that the Kentenich pedagogy seal is maintained in the Schoenstatt schools. Currently, 13 schools belong to the Network of Kentenich Schools. They have just met in Spain and Portugal to deliberate on the KPM, Kentenich Pedagogical Model, which provides an integral and organic pedagogy.
On Friday, November 4, Dr. Patricio Ventura-Juncá, regular member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and leader of the Schoenstatt Family Federation, will receive from the Faculty of Bioethics of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum the award “A Life for Life”, for having excelled professionally and personally in defending human life from natural conception to its natural culmination. He is recognized for his academic contributions and his profound moral values both in Chile and in international circles.
On the chilly evening of Monday, October 17, 2022 – the vigil of the celebration of the 108th anniversary of the founding of Schoenstatt – the Bishop of the Diocese of Madison, Rev. Donald Hying and the National Delegate Superior of the Schoenstatt Fathers, Fr. Mark Niehaus celebrated Mass on the grounds of the Founder Shrine in Madison, Wisconsin.

At the October Conference of the German Schoenstatt Movement, the initiatives of the second International Pentecost Congress, which took place in June 2022, were revisited as part of an overview on the life of the Movement.
The Girls’ Youth of Mexico had their annual leaders’ conference, in which they deeply reflected on their ideal: “Reginae sum – I belong to the Queen”, which led them to delve into the value of having Mary as queen, who imparts to her allies the dignity of the children of God, her nobility, awakening the vocation to become testimonies of love.
