International Meeting of the Friends of “Together for Europe” (TfE) in Porto, Portugal
The Vatican has published this week the Document of the Continental Phase for the next Synod. As reported on the Vatican News website: It is the Document, with the consultation of the people of God, which will serve as the basis, for the work of the second stage of the synodal journey, launched by Pope Francis in October 2021.
This morning, at the end of the Sunday Angelus, the Holy Father announced that the upcoming 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will be held in two moments, that is, in two sessions, spaced one year apart: the first from October 4 to 29, 2023, the second in October 2024.
We pray for the Church; ever faithful to, and courageous in preaching the Gospel, may the Church be a community of solidarity, fraternity and welcome, always living in an atmosphere of synodality.
