The Schoenstatt Movement commemorated the 55th anniversary of Father Joseph Kentenich’s death with two activities on September 14 and 15, 2023. ” Father Kentenich possessed a fatherly heart full of love, and a filial heart before God the Father,” said Father Eduardo Aguirre, postulator of the cause for the canonization of Father Kentenich.

The great “pilgrim shrine” travels to Romania
From September 2-4, a group of Romanian pilgrims visited the place of Schoenstatt’s origin in Vallendar. Every year, Schoenstatt men visit the prison where Franz Reinisch was executed
The only priest who refused to swear allegiance to Adolf Hitler was a Pallottine and Schoenstatt priest: Franz Reinisch. He was executed for his fidelity to his conscience in the early morning of August 21, 1942. Since 1962, Schoenstatt men have gathered on the night of Franz Reinisch’s death near the place of his execution to retrace his life’s testimony.
