First National Women’s Encounter in Schoenstatt Ecuador: “Woman, Source of Hope”
On August 31st, the National Shrine of Guayaquil hosted the First National Encounter of Women, which attracted 175 women from Schoenstatt Ecuador. With the motto “Woman, Source of Hope”, the event sought to unite Catholic women to face the current challenges of the country, inspired by the Schoenstatt charism and the symbolism of Father Joseph Kentenich’s tree of womanly greatness.

The Law Enforcement Agencies of Ecuador pray for peace at the Schoenstatt Shrine
Representatives of the different law enforcement agencies of Ecuador, on a national level, went to the National Shrine of Schoenstatt to pray for peace and the protection of their men and women, who find themselves in times of unusual violence. 850 teenagers from six schools seal their Covenant of Love in Guayaquil
Schoenstatt couples offer formation to young people from six schools in Guayaquil. The spiritual guidance that the adolescents receive is aimed at inner freedom and organic growth of the dignity of each individual. The formation reaches its climax when they seal their Covenant of Love with Mary in the Schoenstatt Shrine.

On October 14th, Deacon Luis Polit will be ordained as a Schoenstatt Father in Ecuador, under the motto “Take and eat of it”. His family and the entire Schoenstatt Movement await the day with great enthusiasm.
Father Diogo M. Mendes Barata becomes the Schoenstatt Fathers’ new Provincial Superior in the Pentecost Province. “I have great hope in the youth!”
As of December 2021, he has assumed the position of Provincial Superior of the Province of Pentecost, which includes Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, USA, Portugal, and Spain.
Schoenstatt in Ecuador celebrates the Golden Jubilee of its first Shrine
Ecuador is preparing for the 50th anniversary celebrations of its National Schoenstatt Shrine in Guayaquil, after a year of spiritual preparation and meticulous planning. The Apostolic Nuncio will celebrate the Jubilee Mass, with the presence of the Ecuadorian Episcopal Conference Bishops.
