On Thursday, October 9, the international novena begins in preparation for the Covenant of Love Day, celebrated on October 18. The entire International Schoenstatt Family is invited to unite in prayer, with one heart and one spirit.
This year, each day of the novena, we will learn more about the life of one of Schoenstatt’s heroes.
The first is our Father and Founder, Fr. Joseph Kentenich. For this reason, the video prayer will be broadcast directly from the Founder’s Chapel on Mount Schoenstatt, where the remains of Fr. Kentenich rest.
Sr. Therese-Marie Yank, a native of the United States, will lead the prayer. She is a member of the Institute of the Sisters of Mary, and her family has a very special spiritual heritage, as her grandparents were part of the group of couples who met with Fr. Kentenich on “Monday evenings” in Milwaukee (USA).
