During the general audience on the last Wednesday of September, the Pope recalled that, traditionally, the Church dedicates the month of October to deepening the prayer of the Rosary and made a first invitation: “Therefore, I invite everyone, every day of the coming month, to pray the Rosary for peace, personally, in family, in community.”
Then, at the end of the general audience, Leo XIV made a more specific invitation:
“In particular, on the afternoon of Saturday, October 11, at 6:00 p.m., we will do so together here in St. Peter’s Square, on the eve of the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, also remembering the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.”
Pope Leo XIV
Surely some members of our Schoenstatt Family will be present in St. Peter’s Square, praying the Rosary together with the Holy Father and members of so many Marian spiritualities. A group of 80 Germans from the Schoenstatt Movement will be present to participate in the jubilee of Marian spirituality.
The invitation is for us to respond to the Pope’s call throughout the world. From our shrines, wayside shrines, home shrines; in community, in family, or individually, we want to take a moment to unite as a Church and call on Mary to intercede before her Son for peace throughout the world.
On Saturday, September 11, after the Mass in Spanish, a screen will be set up in the Original Shrine so that we can follow the broadcast of the Rosary from St. Peter’s and pray together with Pope Leo. If you would like to join us, you can connect via webcam:
