The Family Institute elects its new General Council

Schoenstatt International

The chapter couples participating in the IX General Chapter of the Schoenstatt Family Institute elected their new international leaders for the next six years.

Starting with this Chapter of 2024, the General Council will be formed by the following couples:

Rafael and Cristina Muñoz, Barcelona, Spain

General Assistant Family
Raúl and María Luisa Rivera, Viña del Mar, Chile

General Course Leader Family
Marcelo and Cristina Prono, Asunción, Paraguay

1st Counselor Family
José Roberto and Bernadete Nassif, Londrina, Brazil

2nd Counselor Family
Rodolfo and Mónica Concia, La Plata, Argentina

Spiritual Assistant Father
Father Pablo Mullin, La Plata, Argentina (resident in Paraguay)

Leading and directing

For the past six years, José and Patricia Köstner, from Argentina, have been the General Superior Family. They mention in their letter: “On behalf of the chapter families, we thank everyone for your prayers of support for the success of our General Chapter, which will continue until July 27.”

The meeting is currently taking place in Schoenstatt, on Mount Nazareth, with 25 couples representing Germany, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Chile, Spain, Paraguay and Puerto Rico.

The role of the General Council is to lead, guide, motivate and represent the community at an international level. The General Superior couple represents the Institute in the International Presidency of Schoenstatt.
