Below is a video message from Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello, President of the General Presidium of the Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement:

I am here in Rome, where we have just finished the meeting of the International Presidency of the Schoenstatt Family. It brings together those responsible for the Institutes, the Federations and also the Schoenstatt Movement from all over the world, for the International Coordination.
So, four times a year we meet to reflect on the reality of the International Schoenstatt Family. And this time it was very beautiful. We were able to express our joy at being together as a Family, this experience of listening together to the voice of God, to what the Holy Spirit inspires in us as a Family. And this is precisely synodality, what the Church is living. That’s why, on the first day, we heard the testimony of three people who have experienced the Synod directly.
We also heard about the importance of uniting synodality and the charism of our Family.
In this way, we can say that we had a very blessed week. We would simply like to tell you that, for us, the most important themes were precisely these: how to live synodality in our Schoenstatt Family; how to continue transmitting the charism of our founder in today’s time, to our current reality.
We also reflected on the importance of youth and the future of Schoenstatt, which is in their hands. These are just a few of the many topics that we dealt with during these days. And we are sure that the Blessed Mother, here in her Shrine – Mother of the Church, at the International Schoenstatt Center – was blessing us.
And we have been very present to each one of you. So thank you to everyone who prayed for this meeting and we want to continue walking together, synodically, in the spirit of our Father and Founder – Cor unum in Patre.
God bless them!
