Family Aymerich: the moments of prayer, God makes our Mission fruitful».

Laity, family andlife VATICAN

Vatican – «The family does not consist only of husband and wife, children, because Jesus dwells in the marriage. The Lord lives in the family truly and concretely. He is communicated through acts of love – concrete actions between husband and wife, between parents and children. Caresses in a family are so important». With these words the Holy Father invites us to recognize the presence of Jesus in the daily life of our family, in the tenth and last video that see Pope Francis as a protagonist together with a Spanish family.

This video refers to the ninth chapter of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia: “The Spirituality of Marriage and the Family”. Accompanying the words of the Holy Father is the testimonies of the family Aymerich now missionary families in Costa Rica. They bear witness to fidelity to some moments of family prayer on their day: «Precisely because throughout our relationship we have been aware countless times of our limitations and irrelevance, we are aware that, thanks to these moments of prayer, God makes our Mission fruitful».

Through this series of 10 videos, the Holy Father, with the help of images and the testimony of some families from different parts of the world, invites us to journey together to rediscover the value and beauty of the family. Each video is accompanied by a guide that can be used flexibly either by families or by various ecclesial realities (dioceses, parishes, communities).

This pastoral resource is an initiative of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life in collaboration with the Dicastery for Communication, as part of the initiatives of the «Amoris Laetitia Family» Year.

The two dicasteries will publish, by the end of February, a “Special Amoris Laetitia” that will collect all the videos and guides at the end of the series.
