Faithful of various nationalities participate in Schoenstatt’s international pilgrimage in Luxembourg

On Trinity Sunday, June 15, 2025, more than 100 faithful connected to the Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement participated in an international celebration in Diekirch, in northern Luxembourg. The gathering brought together missionaries of the Pilgrim Mother, religious, families, children, and seniors, marking one of the Movement’s main annual events in the country.

The program began with a moment of Eucharistic adoration, followed by a multilingual Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Carlos Unterrichter in the Deanery Church, located in the city center. The diversity of languages reflected the presence of faithful of various nationalities, united by the Marian spirituality of Schoenstatt.

With the Pilgrim Mother through the streets of the city

After Mass, the participants left in procession for the chapel of the Mother, Queen, and Thrice Admirable Victress of Schoenstatt, also in Diekirch. With flags in hand, rosaries, and religious songs, the faithful expressed their devotion as they carried the image of the Pilgrim Mother through the city streets.

Upon arriving at the chapel, the group renewed their Covenant of Love with Mary in prayer. The program continued with the traditional burning of offerings to the Capital of Grace and the crowning of the Pilgrim Mother with the title “Queen of Missionary Vocations.”

The annual procession to the chapel is considered the most significant religious event of the Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement in Luxembourg. With a renewed missionary spirit, the participants returned to their homes, already preparing for the next great pilgrimage: the Portuguese-speaking meeting at the Original Shrine in Vallendar, Germany, scheduled for June 29.
