On the last day of the novena, we gathered spiritually in the Original Shrine of Schoenstatt to prepare ourselves for the long-awaited October 18. This “favorite place” is our cenacle, where we implore the Holy Spirit, united with Mary.
Today we remember the life of Fr. Franz Reinisch, a Schoenstatt hero who was beheaded by the Nazis and is currently in the process of beatification. His remains are buried in the Heroes’ Monument behind the Original Shrine.
This Friday, the postulator of the Cause for Beatification, Fr. Heribert Niederschlag, a Pallottine priest, will lead the novena. He recalls how important this Shrine was in the life of Fr. Reinisch.
