Pope Leo XIV made a special request during the Angelus prayer last Sunday, September 27. While on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, the Holy Father recalled the importance of the Rosary and asked that it be prayed throughout the month of October for a special intention: peace among peoples in conflict.
I invite all the faithful and all Christian communities to pray the holy rosary throughout the coming month of October, with the particular intention that wars may cease and that peace may be established among peoples in conflict. Let us accompany this prayer with concrete acts of penance and mercy, committing ourselves always to fostering dialogue and reconciliation.
Pope Leo XIV
May our most holy Mother intercede for us!
As the Schoenstatt Family, we make peace a special focus of our prayers. As Fr. Joseph Kentenich said: “The Rosary is the prayer of great spirits, not of small ones!”
Often, in a world ravaged by wars and conflicts, we may think that our prayer is insignificant. Our founder knew the power of this prayer and tells us: “The Rosary provides us with the means to wage and help decide the great battles, even in today’s political landscape.”
So let us pray, as a Family, for peace!
