On August 24, 2025, Argentina will conquer its 23rd Schoenstatt Daughter Shrine. With great enthusiasm, gratitude, and joy, the Schoenstatt Family is preparing for the blessing of the Resistencia Shrine, the first in the Province of Chaco.

The land is located in the northern part of the city, in a developing residential area, with several houses under construction around it. This achievement is the culmination of many years of waiting, dreaming and planning to invite the MTA to dwell in her special place.

As the Schoenstatt Family of Chaco, we invite all those who want to join in this preparation to send their contributions to the Capital of Grace using this form: link

The following is a summary of the most important moments that have marked our journey towards the day we have been dreaming of.

May 13, 2023: Blessing of the land

“God acts in history through instruments. He chooses hearts that are available to carry out his work.”

In an emotional celebration, the Schoenstatt Family of Resistencia gratefully received the site where the Shrine would be built. With the blessing of the land, the first step was taken on this journey of faith, trusting in Divine Providence and in the Blessed Mother’s intercession.

December 18, 2023: Groundbreaking

“The greatness of our mission depends on the depth with which we dedicate ourselves to it.”

Deeply moved, the community gathered to symbolically begin construction. The groundbreaking represented the effort and dedication of all those who, with their prayers and sacrifices, were spiritually laying the foundation for the future Shrine.

May 2024: Construction begins on the site

“God reveals himself in everyday life; those who know how to read the signs of the times discover his presence and his will.”

The waiting and the work paid off: in May 2024, construction began. Each stone laid was a sign of the faith of a family who, in Covenant with Mary, committed themselves to building a home for her in Resistencia.

July 20, 2024: Blessing of the Wayside Shrine

“Every work of God takes place with humble origins, but over time it becomes a refuge of grace.”

Before the Shrine became visible, the Schoenstatt Family received a special gift: the Wayside Shrine. Blessed on July 20, 2024, this small dwelling place of the Blessed Mother was the first sacred space where the community could go to pray and offer all their efforts for the construction of the Shrine.

October 18, 2024: Blessing of the foundations and cornerstone

“What we build in God and for God remains forever.”

On the feast of the Covenant of Love, the Schoenstatt Family of Resistencia experienced a pivotal moment: the blessing of the foundation and the laying of the cornerstone of the Shrine. This act was the concrete manifestation that the dream was moving forward firmly, sustained by faith in the Blessed Mother.

December 14, 2024: Blessing of the Multipurpose Room

“United as a community, we form a family where Christ and Mary are the center.”

As part of the growth of the project, in December 2024 the Multipurpose Room was blessed, a space designed for formation, fraternal communion and service to the community.

August 24, 2025: Blessing of the Shrine

“The Schoenstatt Shrines are beacons of grace in the world, where the Blessed Mother educates and transforms hearts.”

After years of prayer, dedication and effort, the big day will arrive on August 24, 2025, when the Schoenstatt Shrine in Resistencia will be blessed. On this day of grace, Mary’s family will joyfully celebrate the fulfillment of a dream: a place where the Blessed Mother can reign, educate and transform hearts.

“Family of Mary, in the Covenant, build your Shrine”

Each stage of this conquest has been a manifestation of the love and fidelity of the community. With the certainty that the Shrine will be a beacon of light and blessing for many, the Schoenstatt Family continues to walk in the Covenant, building together the Blessed Mother’s home in Resistencia.
