On December 14 and 15, 2024, the Schoenstatt Men’s Federation held its fourth Annual Conference in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. The encounter was characterized by a fraternal and pleasant atmosphere. The participants strengthened bonds in union with the Blessed Mother and Father Joseph Kentenich and reflected on the importance of the everyday sanctity in the lay vocation.

The day began with a space for sharing experiences and reflections in small groups. This dynamic allowed the participants to get to know each other better and to deepen the bonds of brotherhood that unite them as members of the Federation. This was followed by a moment of deep prayer, where the heart was lifted up to God, and the commitment to live the faith with authenticity was renewed. To end the morning, a fraternal lunch was shared.

Holiness and the lay apostolate

On the afternoon of the 14th, the day continued with a talk on the connection between the everyday sanctity and the lay apostolate. The meaning of Consecration in the Men’s Federation was deepened, a commitment that implies living the Schoenstatt ideal in daily life and service to the Church.

At the end of the afternoon, the conference participants went to the Shrine of Rosario. There, in a moment of great emotion, the “Children of the Father” Course had its second Consecration. This act was shared with the entire Schoenstatt Family of Rosario, who united in prayer and joy for this event.

Another important moment of the day was the election of the new leader of the Men’s Federation of Argentina. Roberto Horat was elected to this position with Martín Esquivel and Fernando Giménez as his principal collaborators.

Finally, it was announced that the city of Paraná will host the next Federation Day, which will be held in November 2025. This date is especially significant since it is framed in the context of the Jubilee of the Church and the 50th anniversary of the blessing of the Shrine of La Loma.

New men

The Foundation of the Federation of Men of Argentina dates back to 2015 and has taken steps of growth and maturation with members from different provinces. We are called to build a new man in the spirit of the Mission of May 31.
