Brazil and the world are preparing to celebrate the opening of the 75th Jubilee Year of the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate. To commemorate this special occasion, on September 10, at 9:00 p.m., local Schoenstatt time, there will be an international live broadcast, with simultaneous broadcasts in several countries, which will include special participations and plenty of surprises.
Sister M. Marcia Silva, coordinator of the Secretariat of the Pilgrim Mother in Atibaia/SP, invites the entire Schoenstatt Family, especially the members of the Apostolate throughout the world, to participate in this great celebration. “With great joy, we invite everyone to join us for this international livestream, where we will gather as missionaries of the Pilgrim Mother from various countries to celebrate the opening of the Apostolate’s jubilee.”
This gathering will provide a unique moment to share about the mission initiated by João Luis Pozzobon. “It is exciting to get together and meet with people from the other side of the world who also receive the Pilgrim Mother’s visit, rejoice with this jubilee and celebrate this moment”, commented Sr. M. Marcia.
Blessing from the Original Shrine
The live transmission will take place on the 74th anniversary of the Apostolate and will be transmitted directly from the Original Shrine in Schoenstatt, Germany. Fr. Alexandre Awi, president of the International Schoenstatt Presidium, will lead the prayer with the blessing and the official opening of the jubilee.
“We will contemplate the wonders of the Blessed Mother through the missionaries and families of the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate around the Shrines and Wayside Shrines dedicated to the Mother and Queen, where we will pray the Jubilee prayer and sing the motto: ‘With the Pilgrim Mother, missionaries of hope,’ in different languages,” the coordinator explained.
The live broadcast will be transmitted simultaneously at 4:00 p.m. in Brazil (9:00 p.m. in Germany). The chosen time has a special meaning, as Sister M. Marcia explains: “At 9:00 p.m., according to tradition in Schoenstatt, Father Joseph Kentenich sent a blessing to all his spiritual children throughout the world. To this day, this prayer and blessing takes place in the Original Shrine, thus making this moment a special one for Brazil, with the blessing and sending forth for the Jubilee Year”.
In the Tabor Shrine, in Santa Maria/RS, birthplace of the Apostolate, John Pozzobon’s son, Humberto Pozzobon, will present testimonies and lead a moment of prayer at the tomb of the Servant of God, praying for his beatification and thanking him for his dedication to this apostolate which is present in every continent.

The international “live” will be the great festive moment, “which will gather people from different parts of the world to celebrate, give thanks and officially declare open the Jubilee Year of Grace of the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate. Everyone is invited to join us,” concluded Sr. M. Marcia.
