Mission Country

Schoenstatt on the go

the apostolate of the Covenant of Love

Mission Country is a project of young Catholic university students with a desire to be missionary and to give themselves to others. The Mission consists in taking God and the Blessed Mother to all the world, beginning with the small towns of Spain. It is an opportunity to put oneself at the service of the Church as well as of people in need, having an experience of voluntary work, prayer, and selfless service to others. It is a gift that the Schoenstatt Youth wants to give to Spain, to make it a Land of Mary again.

The first idea for the project came up a few years ago in Chile. Later it was transferred to Portugal, where a group of 30 Spanish university students from the Schoenstatt Youth decided to launch the project in 2014 in Spain, beginning with a small town in the province of Cordoba. Today, Mission Country includes more than 350 young people divided into 10 different missions.

The central pillar of the Mission is the Pilgrim MTA, which is the true missionary who grants the 3 graces: home, inner transformation, and mission zeal. As a result of the first Mission, a group of youth from the first town to which we went on mission open their own Mission, proof that the Blessed Mother is the true missionary of this Project.
