A star for you: Send your name to the Original Shrine

Schoenstatt International

With the arrival of Advent, the annual “A star for you” campaign begins. This Sunday, November 30, you can already send your name – or the names of the people you want to pray for – on a Christmas star. They will be taken to the Original Shrine of Schoenstatt in Germany.

To send your name, fill out the form below. The deadline for submissions is December 24 at 12 noon (local time in Schoenstatt).

What is the “A Star for You” campaign?

During Advent, the Church invites us to prepare for the birth of Jesus. And among the ways to make this concrete are fasting, works of charity, and prayer. The “A Star for You” campaign is linked to all these forms of surrender to the Capital of Grace and, in particular, to prayer.

The names sent to the Original Shrine, in addition to representing a spiritual pilgrimage of each person to this place of grace, also receive prayers.

Concretely speaking, the campaign works as follows:

Throughout Advent, some cards are displayed in the Original Shrine. They have two parts, one of which has a star on which we can write the names and intentions of the people for whom we want to pray. The other part can be cut out and taken with us to give to the person for whom we are praying. Every day during the Evening Blessing, a special prayer will be prayed for the people and concerns written on the stars. The Adoration Sisters on Mount Schoenstatt also pray for these intentions during their times of prayer throughout the day.

Those who are far away can submit their names using the online form.

This initiative began more than ten years ago. From the beginning, it has been an international initiative seeking to unite all those especially connected to the Original Shrine.

How to participate?

To participate from a distance, fill out the form below, indicating your name, email address, location (city, country), the name you wish to place on the star, and your request for this Advent. Fill in the names individually.

Join us in this prayer chain, praying for all who participate in the campaign. As our Father and Founder asked, let us be with one another, and for one another, together in the heart of God.
