The Archbishop of Santa Maria/RS, Brazil, Leomar Brustolin, will preside this Holy Tuesday, April 15, at 7:00 p.m., over the Canonical Presentation Mass of the Rectorate of Our Lady of Graces, established by decree on March 20. The rectorate is a canonical institution that grants pastoral autonomy to the Chapel of Our Lady of Graces, where the Servant of God, Deacon João Luiz Pozzobon, is buried. The aim is to strengthen evangelization inspired by Pozzobon’s life, witness, and legacy, making the chapel the reference point for this mission within the Archdiocese.
Currently, the chapel is part of the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows, with which it will remain affiliated for certain administrative matters, such as economic management and the recording of baptisms, confirmations, and marriages. The new rectorate also includes the three chapels built by João Pozzobon – White, Pink, and Blue – as well as the houses where he lived, which are now pilgrimage and visiting sites: Museum House I, in São João do Polêsine, and Museum House II, in Santa Maria, just a few meters from the Chapel of Our Lady of Graces.

The Schoenstatt Fathers will be responsible
Upon creating the Rectorate, the Archbishop entrusted it to the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, naming Father Vitor Hugo Possetti—the current vice-postulator of João Pozzobon’s beatification cause—as its first rector. Father Maike Andrade, who recently arrived in Santa Maria, will also serve the community.

Included in the rectorate, in addition to the Chapel of Our Lady of Graces, are:
• Blue Chapel
• Pink Chapel
• White Chapel
• João Luiz Pozzobon Museum House I
• João Luiz Pozzobon Museum House II
