The Schoenstatt Movement has announced two important news in its statement, informing about the extension of the General Statute of the Schoenstatt Work for three more years. During this period, the International Presidency, along with the National Presidencies of the Schoenstatt Work and the National Central Advisers of the Movement, will carry out an evaluation and review of it.

In addition, the International Presidency has appointed Fr. Arkadiusz Sosna (Poland) as the new International Coordinator of the Movement, and confirmed Sr. M. Cacilda Becker (Brazil) in the same role for another three years.

It is important to highlight that the International Coordination of the Movement was created in 2016 and represents the international movement in the General Presidency, ensuring international cooperation while respecting the autonomy of national Central offices and the work of continental coordinations.

The main tasks of the International Schoenstatt Coordination include transmitting important information from the General Presidency to continental coordinations, supporting transnational and global church events, representing the international movement, promoting international exchange on signs of the times and opinion formation on current issues, and providing opportunities for material, literature and expert exchange.

The International Schoenstatt Coordination maintains the website www.schoenstatt.com, organizes Pentecost congresses and promotes their follow-up, and coordinates other tasks on behalf of the General Presidency.
