The Schoenstatt Austin Shrine joyfully marked its 10th anniversary on October 13, 2024, celebrating a decade filled with grace, community, and mission. Since its dedication, the Shrine has become a spiritual home for families and pilgrims, where hearts are renewed through the love of the Blessed Mother and the Covenant of Love.
Anchored in its mission, “Bethlehem, Cradle of Sanctity,” the Shrine has embraced its calling to be a birthplace of holiness, nurturing hearts and families to radiate Christ’s love to the world.
The celebration began with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Joe Vásquez, where families and visitors came together to renew their Covenant. “This Shrine isn’t just a place; it’s where we become living shrines, carrying Mary’s love into the world,” shared one of the families. The event continued with joyful fellowship, strengthening the bonds of friendship and mission.
Over the years, the Shrine has helped form missionary families, fostering faith, unity, and service. As one pilgrim reflected, “This is a place where God’s love is made tangible, where our family finds strength and direction.”
Looking ahead, the Schoenstatt community is excited to continue growing, welcoming more families into this mission of love and faith. As Father Joseph Kentenich said: “We want to make the world a home and the home a shrine.”
With grateful hearts and trust in God’s grace, the Austin Shrine embarks on the next chapter of this journey, ready to be a beacon of hope and joy for generations to come.
