A documentary on the fourth milestone: a gift for the Schoenstatt Family

Sr. María Julia Agüero

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the end of Fr. Kentenich’s exile, his rehabilitation, and his return to Schoenstatt, Casa del Padre—located on the grounds of the National Schoenstatt Shrine in Argentina and entrusted with the mission of promoting the charism of Fr. Kentenich—together with Schoenstatt Argentina, organized a series of webinars throughout the year as a formation program entitled “Heaven Is Born on Earth.”

This program concluded with a reflection gathering in Nuevo Schoenstatt, Argentina, with the participation of leaders from all active Schoenstatt communities in the country. Read more here.

This itinerary, consisting of 12 chapters, is available on the Schoenstatt Argentina YouTube channel, while Schoenstatt Vivo in Chile has been publishing them gradually. This initiative coincides with the 10th anniversary of Casa del Padre and is offered as a path of deepening and spiritual renewal for our Schoenstatt Family, delving into the rich history of the Movement and of Fr. Kentenich.

A Gift Focused on the Fourth Milestone: A Documentary in Four Languages

As a corollary of the formation program on the fourth milestone of the Schoenstatt Family, Casa del Padre presents a documentary that summarizes its key points. The documentary is available in four languages.

It is a privileged opportunity to continue entering more deeply—both as a community and as a spiritual family—into this decisive event, which uniquely expresses the irruption of the divine in the Movement, as taught and witnessed by our Founder.

The four milestones of the Schoenstatt Family are:

• First: October 18, 1914 – In divine light

• Second: January 20, 1942 – In divine trust

• Third: May 31, 1949 – In divine strength

The fourth milestone, which includes three key dates, is summarized as “divine victoriousness.”

The material presented invites us to contemplate, understand, and more deeply give thanks for this historical moment, allowing ourselves to be challenged today by its meaning and its foundational strength for the life and mission of the Movement. It focuses on the three dates that constitute this milestone:

• October 22, 1965: Pope Paul VI signs the resolution stating that “all decrees against Fr. Kentenich are annulled. Fr. Kentenich is free.”

• December 22, 1965: Interview between Fr. Kentenich and Pope Paul VI, during which our father and founder presents the Pope with a chalice. The Founder’s return to Schoenstatt is authorized.

• December 24, 1965: Christmas Mass and Fr. Kentenich’s last visit to the Original Shrine. “Second Miracle of Christmas Eve.”

Casa del Padre expresses special gratitude to Schoenstatt Argentina, Schoenstatt Vivo (Chile), and Schoenstatt International, who generously made this material available to the public, enabling this gift to reach many people and to continue bearing fruit in the heart of our Schoenstatt Family.
