A beautiful and touching moment was experienced on December 7, 2024, at the Tierra Joven Shrine in Curicó. After a year of preparation and waiting, generous contributions to the Capital of Grace, and the dedicated work of the Branches, we crowned our Mother Thrice Admirable as the Schoenstatt Family.
The crowning of the Blessed Mother was in the context of the Eucharist presided by Father Patricio Ilabaca, accompanied by Father Fabio Mazzini, Franciscan priest; Deacon Hernán Grez, and the Minister of Communion, Juan Valenzuela. The Sisters of Mary, Sister María Montserrat Osés, Sister María Teresa Carabantes, and Sister María Jesús Viada of the Provincial Council of the Community, who, with their charism and dedication, were an important part of this celebration, also attended and participated.
A year of preparation
The coronation was the culmination of a year of days of reflection and work to discern the title that we would assign to the Blessed Mother as the crowned Queen in our Shrine. During the celebration of the Month of Mary (*in Chile, November is the month of Mary), we prayed with great devotion the prayer that was created especially for this occasion. The crown was brought from Germany, and during preparation and waiting; it was on a pilgrimage through our Schoenstatt Family: couples, associates, ladies, and pilgrims.
We trust that the Blessed Mother will continue to shower Tierra Joven with the graces of welcoming, transformation, and sending forth, conquering new hearts and helping us to be light on earth and apostles of the good news of evangelization.
