On October 20, 2024, at 11:00 am Barbados time, the Blessed Mother was enthroned as the Schoenstatt MTA advocation in the Chapel of St. Francis in St. James, Barbados.

Father Omaris Audrey officiated the enthronement, inviting the Blessed Mother Thrice Admirable to establish her throne.

Several Latin American Schoenstatters were present, including Costa Ricans, Venezuelans, Colombians, Dominicans, people from Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, Africans, English and Barbadians. Contributions were presented to the Capital of Grace offered by the Schoenstatt Family of Costa Rica, who accompanied us in the accomplishment of this historic day.

Afterwards, a festivity was held with food, Latin music and joy, celebrating this historic event.

She is the great missionary

Paola and Benito Artiñano belong to the Schoenstatt Family Branch of Costa Rica. Some years ago they moved to Barbados on business and they eagerly pursued the desire to make Schoenstatt present on this Caribbean island. Currently, the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother Apostolate is present in the country.

“With great hope and longing, we hope that this will be the beginning of an abundant outpouring of graces on this very special island, and that the Blessed Mother will act with her gentle violence in the transformation, sheltering and apostolic sending forth in the hearts of its inhabitants”, Paola and Benito tell us, on the day of the enthronement of the image.

Barbados is an island country in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, in the Caribbean region of the Americas, and the easternmost of the Caribbean islands. It is 34 kilometers long and 23 kilometers wide and has an area of 432 square kilometers. Its capital and largest city is Bridgetown.

We pray that the Mother and Queen, through her image, may bless the entire community and work miracles of grace in this region.
