Is there anything more beautiful than seeing light multiply in a dark environment? Little by little, clarity overcomes the darkness and everything seems to be dressed in hope.
Today, October 1, 2024, a new light is emerging, faint and growing, a light of hope in the digital space.
Today we, the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary of the Nazareth Province – Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay -, launch our website and Instagram channel. We want to be a living presence of Mary in the digital space to shelter it, transform it, and guide it more and more towards heaven.
A little bit of history
Back in 1926, a courageous group of women already consecrated to the Schoenstatt mission, took the risk of leaving their professions and quitting the security of their stable and remunerated jobs. The fire of love for the Shrine in the Schoenstatt Valley and the mission that demanded their unconditional acceptance was stronger than any other option that would keep them away from it.
God himself, through the Mother Thrice Admirable, summoned them to be the soul of a Movement that was growing with giant steps and that required resolute and self-sacrificing persons who placed themselves entirely at the service of this work, so that Mary, the great Educator, could carry out her task from the little chapel.
At the gates of the first century
We are walking towards October 1, 2026, the first century of a community that continues to be the soul of the Schoenstatt Movement!
Looking back is returning to the origin, to the root, so that we can find our deepest identity there and, from that originality, give ourselves in a new way, according to the present time. This moves us to take this step of active presence in the digital space, where we also wish to give Mary as a gift!
We can only give what we have received. Like her, we are heirs of the light. Like her, we can give it to others because, just like yesterday, we have been touched by the fire of love that invites us to consume ourselves entirely to be light, to give it away with full hands!
The light multiplies and becomes a single flame that lights up the world. Mary, the light of hope, walks before us. In her footsteps, we are her living presence, a presence that transforms our history today into the centuries to come.
