Testimonials

Father Valentino Menegatti

We are from the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle in Pontegradella, Ferrara, Italy. The crown remained with us from December 8th. to January 8th. It was received with great enthusiasm by the parish community. It left us all with a great peace in our hearts, a feeling of honor and communion with the entire Schoenstatt Family, the gift of the welcoming presence of the Blessed Mother, who gave everyone peace and the desire for a greater commitment to the witness of holiness and mission. We were honored to see that the Blessed Mother opened the way in our hearts, in our streets, and our homes.

The Crown visited the parishes of Morrona and Terricciola, in the Diocese of Volterra, Italy, on November 18 and 19, 2024. With great joy, we welcomed it into our family, into our Home Shrine, and into the monthly meeting of couples who are members of the Family Federation. We prayed especially for families. In the parish of Terricciola, the Crown was also venerated during Sunday Masses. The parish priest conducted research in the parish's historical archives, where he discovered that the local patron saint, Our Lady of Monterosso, was crowned precisely on June 9, 1905. A wonderful coincidence: the two crowns were displayed together in the parish church.

In 2024, I underwent surgery to treat a breast tumor. The night before the operation, I felt the presence of the Mother of God, who gave me great strength and was by my side during that difficult time.

On September 8, 2024, the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, we experienced a moment of profound joy and intense communion with the entire Schoenstatt Family in St. Peter's Basilica during the Mass presided over by Bishop Ignazio Sanna. At the end of the celebration, we were entrusted with the crown that will be offered to Our Lady during the solemn Coronation as Mother of the Church on June 9, 2025, at the Belmonte Shrine. At that moment, we felt deeply honored to represent the first course of the Family Federation of Italy, but also, with hearts full of gratitude, all Schoenstatters who wish to renew their love and fidelity to Mary. It was a moment of grace and deep gratitude for us. The crown then continued its journey through the Vatican Gardens, marking the beginning of its pilgrimage between Italy and Germany —a journey of preparation and unity that involves and embraces the entire Schoenstatt Family. We prayed the rosary together. Let us live this time as a precious opportunity to renew our Covenant of Love, entrusting the Church and our families to Mary with confidence.

Dear Schoenstatt Family, I am here to share with you the profound emotion I felt when I received the crown destined for our Mother in my hands after participating in Holy Mass at St. Peter's Basilica on September 8, 2024. At that moment, I relived the various stages we went through: the decision to offer the crown, the search for someone to make it, following its creation through photos... and finally, there it was, to the joy of all of us. All of this will culminate on June 9th, with the coronation of our Mother Thrice Admirable in the Belmonte Shrine. I was also there, in the Vatican Gardens, on that incredible and beautiful day in September, praying the Rosary together with many Schoenstatt members, carrying in procession the crown destined for Our Lady of the Matri Ecclesiae Shrine. We were all united in a deep communion, aware of the importance of the moment. These are emotions that I still carry within me!

On December 18, 2024, the Crown visited our home. Here are the photos in our Home Shrine, “Queen of Comfort.” The blessing of the Crown visiting us touched us deeply, and we are filled with gratitude for having been granted the opportunity to receive it in our home.
