The Schoenstatt Family Branch of Texas, United States, hosted the annual Palm Sunday Family Workshop, stressing Father Kentenich’s mission of families to be the foundation and the crown of society. The meeting took place on the weekend from April 11 to 13, 2025.

A record 15 families gathered at the Confidentia Shrine in Lamar, Texas, for a weekend filled with fun, fellowship, and faith. The kids outnumbered the adults 48-30!

The workshop theme was “Anchored in the Covenant,” complementing the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope. Families explored how we anchor ourselves to Jesus through Mary while growing in their Covenants of Love. Luce, the Jubilee Year mascot, together with her friends, inspired the children to do acts of mercy and good deeds and joined the families in various activities.

On Friday, families were invited to get to know each other and reconnect with friends through games and activities, concluding with evening prayer. Saturday included a discussion that we are all “Pilgrims of Hope,” Reconciliation, a celebration of Mass, and a reenactment of the Stations of the Cross by the children in attendance. The day culminated with a pilgrimage to the Confidentia Shrine to gain a plenary indulgence, and four families made their Covenant of Love.

On Sunday, the families evaluated their weekend and committed to moving forward on the pilgrimage of Hope. Fr. Rex Anthony (Schoenstatt Father) celebrated the Palm Sunday Liturgy, concluding the weekend. The retreat was hosted by a team of league and federation families and the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary. The weekend radiated with the love of the domestic church in Texas!
