Rangel Pereira Lima recounts, “When I learned about what the Covenant of Love with Mary means, I understood that this was what I wanted for my life. I prayed and asked the Virgin Mary if this was what she wanted from me. I got the answer when I received the invitation to join in the Covenant of Love formation. For me, sealing the Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother is affirmation that it is with her that I want to follow in Christ’s footsteps.”

Greater joy with each day of formation

Rangel Pereira added: “All the meetings in preparation for the Covenant of Love were beautiful, touching and with each meeting I felt even greater joy. The formation helped me to be convinced that this was the right path.

The preparation was online and conducted with great care and warmth by Eurico and Márcia Paiva, from the Family League. The preparation, the coaching and the conclusion of the course were excellent, and I am very grateful to them.

After months of preparation, with formation, prayer, resolutions and dedication, the long-awaited day arrived.”

We are part of the great Schoenstatt Family

On November 6 at 4:00 p.m., the Covenant of Love Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Cidade Velha. The ceremony was presided by Father Argemiro Ferracioli, Men’s Rosary Advisor of the Northern and Northeastern Region.

“In his homily, Father Ferracioli led us to the moment when we sealed the Covenant of Love, reinforcing the beauty and greatness of the decision we had made. What he emphasized was that we had to remember that it was a very special day because it was the Solemnity of All Saints and that they were witnesses of our Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother.

He also reminded us that from that moment on, we joined the large Schoenstatt Family and we became children of Father Joseph Kentenich, our teacher, father and founder of the Schoenstatt Movement”, Rangel recalled.

A Covenant committed to the proclamation of the Gospel

Antônio Guilherme Soares Campos said:

“For me, to seal the Covenant of Love with Mary is to commit myself to live my baptism in my everyday life. It is to entrust myself totally and offer myself as an instrument in Mary’s hands. It is to be intimately bonded to her and to the Schoenstatt Shrine, assuming the mission of taking the Gospel to my brothers, thus manifesting and guaranteeing the Covenant with our Mother and with Jesus Christ”.

With this, the Men’s Rosary Initiative in the Archdiocese of Belém grows deeper into the Schoenstatt spirituality and is strengthened to help transform the situation from where each one of us is working.

“By fulfilling with joy and love the part that corresponds to each one of us, we help to renew society and we contribute to make of Brazil a better Tabor”.
