International Apostolic Federation of Schoenstatt Mothers

From 4 to 10 September 2022, 25 delegates from nine different countries with the presence of some Federation assistants, gathered in Schoenstatt for the founding chapter of the International Apostolic Federation of Schoenstatt Mothers.

After many years of transnational cooperation with the effort to unite as an international community, the INTERNATIONAL APOSTOLIC FEDERATION OF SCHOENSTATT MOTHERS has now been officially founded. The constitution was celebrated on the Feast of the Nativity of Mary, 8 September, 2022, during a solemn Holy Mass in the Adoration Church on Mount Schoenstatt, seventy-two years after the founding of the Mothers’ Federation in Germany by Father Joseph Kentenich.

The delegates of this founding chapter elected the first international council that will lead the international community for the next five years.

International leader is Mrs. Kathleen Colunga from the United States

Deputy is Mrs. Matilde Di Battista from Argentina

1st counselor is Mrs. Maura Regina Santana de Jesus from Brazil

2nd counselor is Mrs. Cecilia Brunner from Chile

3rd counselor is Mrs. Norma Pistilli from Paraguay
