By Paola Andrea Aristizábal Giraldo

With the title: “What is a woman? A promise of God to humanity”, the Chilean magazine Vinculo, especially commemorates the celebration that began on December 8, 2019 in the Schoenstatt Family, within the context of the birth of the feminine branch of the Movement, from the first Covenant of Love sealed by Gertrud von Bullion and her cousin Mary Christmann.

With a total of 17 articles, this issue of the magazine develops different themes, in which women are the protagonists. The objective of this issue is to recognize the importance of women in Schoenstatt as well as in society.

Some of the themes that we find in this publication are the origin of women in Schoenstatt and the different groups that make up the women’s pillar, 100 years of women’s presence and Gertrud von Bullion. In addition, in this issue you can enjoy more analytical articles such as the Schoenstatt woman: her reality, contributions and challenges, the leadership of women humanizes, Communicating in the feminine, the contribution of women in art, an interview with the philosopher, Carolina Dell’Oro, about state of the art technology and “state of the art humanity”, among others.

The title of this edition of the magazine comes from a definition that Fr. Kentenich himself expressed in the lecture: Woman, you are a promise, in which he said: “What is woman? A promise of God to humanity.

In woman, God has made a very great promise to humanity. She must be an image of his unlimited self-giving and love, of a love that gives itself as an infinite and superabundant torrent,” said Fr. Juan Pablo Rovegno magazine director.

As an international Schoenstatt family, we congratulate the family of Chile for this beautiful recognition of woman in the framework of the first centennial of the founding of this pillar of the Movement and we invite you to read this edition to discover so many women who have left an exceptional contribution to the world, from their different ways of being and living.
