Schoenstatt Mothers’ Federation
For and with Each Other
A way in community, a way in covenant with Mary, a way to a “life in fullness” (John). This is what constitutes the Schoenstatt others’ Federation. It is one of the core communities of the international Schoenstatt Family and includes married women who can be widowed, mothers or childless.
The community was founded in September 1950 by Father Joseph Kentenich. It is currently in the process of the international extension which is expected to be completed in 2022.
The women receive life-impulses from the spiritually religious Schoenstatt’s spirituality. Members strengthen each other through a responsible in, with and for each other in a family-like community.
The members are united by the Covenant of Love with Mary, which helps them to live the Baptismal Covenant and the Sacrament of Marriage.
The Schoenstatt Mothers’ Federation is present in 10 countries.
Starting from Germany, there is the Schoenstatt Mothers’ Federation in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, and the USA.
